Athiests, Antitheists and the Antichrist

Atheism. At it's core, it challenges the mere existence of God. It's definition is simply someone who is without God or any god. And, the Bible does support this idea with a well known verse, John 3:16. Believers are known as theists. And nonbelievers are called atheists.

Just because someone is an atheist, doesn't make them a good or bad person. But rather, it defines what happens to them after death. Most, atheists have good intentions. If you look around at many athesit's blogs, you will tend to believe that all atheists hate God. This can be misleading, as it only represents a portion of atheists.

They are antitheists

An antitheist is different from an atheist in that an atheist is simply without God and an antitheist is someone who is against religion, or anyone who believes. This is often seen as a hatred towards God.  Their reasons for being against God or religion may vary. Some may have been betrayed by a "Christian." Some may have been mocked by a "Christian." There could be hundreds of reasons for their drive against religion.

Some antithiests believe that religion should be erased from the world. They openly use slogans such as "Imagine No Religion" and often point to the human side of religion - people making bad choices who claim to believe. Their extremes may be known as militant atheists, or an atheist who would use force, or any means possible, to accomplish this goal. They will attend church and may even infiltrate their ranks.

Some may even lead a church.

An antitheist is very similar to the antichrist, just as a square is very similar to a rectangle. A square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't always a square.  The antichrist is an antitheist, but an antitheist isn't always the antichrist. But their spirit, or the things that they do and the reasons they do them, are the same. They both have the same desire to remove God from the world.
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit[a] of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
