More About PepsiCo…

About Equality

PepsiCo is supporting homosexuals in politics. They also favors them in employment. Their own website claims it provides benefits for “Same sex domestic partner coverage.” Additionally, HRC.org lists “Same-Sex Partners” with benefits, but denies the same benefits to “Opposite-Sex Partners.” (Visit HRC  or see the image at the bottom of this blog entry.)

About PepsiCo…

Proposition 8 in California

On Election Day, November 2009, the State of California voted in what is called Proposition 8. With it passing, it now means that California, along with Florida and Arizona, as defining marriage being between a man and woman. (Note, without this definition, it might be possible for someone to marry their dog or cat. See Marriage: How Would You Define It?)

Enter PepsiCo Inc.

It is understandable, that PepsiCo, being a large employer, has to worry about workplace harassment. PepsiCo granted money to organizations that support Homosexuals. I contacted to find out more information. This is what I got:

Same-Sex Civil Union Custody Case

Lisa Miller vs. Janet Jenkins

  • Lisa Miller (right in photo) and Janet Jenkins (left in photo) were allowed to join in same-sex civil union in December 19, 2000 as allowed by Vermont Law.
  • Lisa became pregnant by artificial insemination from an anonymous donor.
  • Janet refused to adopt Isabella (center in photo) when presented with the idea.
  • In 2003, their relationship went sour. Lisa returned to her roots in Virginia. Janet agreed to pay child support in exchange for visitation as the two had agreed.

ON NOVEMBER 23, 2003, Lisa filed a standardized form in Rutland County (Vt.) Family Court seeking dissolution of their civil union.

Washington Post

Lisa Returns to Her Faith

Lisa started to attend church. She read a book called Restoring Sexual Identity: Hope for Women Who Struggle With Same-Sex Attraction by:Anne Paulk.

Lisa could not afford a lawyer. She then bumbled the  paperwork for their divorce. Lisa checked boxes that conflicted with each other abut custody. Janet responded by countersuing for custody.

Donations and prayers are being accepted for Lisa Miller by the Liberty Counsel whom is representing Lisa.

Abortion - Legal and Biblical Views

The Controversy

The controversy rages on. People on both sides feel the heat and passion of the subject. The subject leaves lots of questions that are unanswered. Questions like:

  • Is it a mother's rights to have an abortion?
  • Does the unborn child have any legal rights?
  • At what point do unborn babies have protection under our Bill of Rights?

The controversy can have an answer. The questions are about when does a child have it's own identity? Is it before or after birth??? To ask anything else is to add confusion to the problem.

On January 22, 1973, the US Supreme Court decided on a landmark case, Roe vs. Wade. In it…

…the courts held that a mother may abort her pregnancy for any reason, up until the "point at which the fetus becomes ‘viable.’" The Court defined viable as being "potentially able to live outside the mother's womb, albeit with artificial aid.

Stop the Abortion Bail Out

Is it about more money???? Last year, their budget had a surplus. Why then, are they asking for more money?

"Planned Parenthood reported record revenue and a $115 million budget surplus last year, and it is building a network of elegant health centers to attract middle-class clients."

Wall Street Journal

Abortion groups have submitted their 50 page proposal to the Obama-Biden transition team. At the top of the list? More taxpayer dollars for abortion organizations like Planned Parenthood. How much more? Over 1.5 billion dollars more!

  1. $1 BILLION dollars in taxpayer funding for International Abortion Groups
  2. $700 million in taxpayer funding for “Title X” Health Clinics (aka your local Planned Parenthood affiliate)
  3. $65 million for the UNFPA, an international aid organization connected to coercive abortion as part of China’s coercive one-child policy

They want more than just money...

  1. Repeal the Hyde Amendment – Vastly expanding federal taxpayer funding for abortions
  2. Include Abortion coverage in any taxpayer-subsidized national health care program
  3. Expand taxpayer-funded abortions on military bases
  4. Expand taxpayer-funded abortions through the Peace Corps program
  5. Expand taxpayer-funded abortions for federal prisoners

CD/DVD Utilities

Those annoying "Insert CD" games can be a major pain. And keeping up with CD's and DVD's can be a hassle sometimes. Do you give up your game because you do not remember where you placed the CD?

My son has a bad habit of putting fingerprints all over the DVD's he watches. And scratches seem to be a natural for him.

These two utilities have freed me of this mess. I can use and back up my movies and games with ease. Yes, they are simple to use. But most of all, the price is hard to beat -- FREE.

Customer Service

Where Are The Directions?
Keep in mind, that we bought a toy train for one of our kids for Christmas. This was way more than just a train that ran around in circles, it did things.

We opened it up, put it together. The track assembly was a breeze.

Then we looked on the bottom of the train. We found some sort of switch. It wasn't an overly complicated switch, but none-the-less, it had three settings. Not one of the settings had words, but symbols.

There were also switches and levers on the track for the train to use.

What do we do??? Where are those directions? And why are they written in Chinese?

Looking on the box, we found the Toy Maker's website.

My Initial Contact via Toy Maker's Website:

We got the (toy name omitted) (Item#: omitted) for Christmas, but the directions are not in English. Is there a web page where we can we obtain a copy in English?

Thank you

Toy Maker's Initial Response via eMail:

Hello (name omitted),

Thank you for contacting (toy maker name omitted).

Unfortunately, we require some additional information to process your request. Please either e-mail us back or call us with the following information:

a. Full Name
b. Address (incase we need to mail out the directions)
c. Phone number

We look forward to speaking with you soon .

Brian
(Address and Phone omitted)

What???

At this time, I become angry. Do you mean to tell me that if I give this toy as a present on Christmas day, that I have to wait for the Post Office to deliver it another day?

Oh yeah, the joy a toy brings a child when you say, "Here is your toy. Look at it until the directions arrive in 2-3 days."

My Response via eMail:

Brian at (toy name omitted):

My FULL name and address are:
(omitted)

I am 38 years old, Married, with 4 kids... They are all wonderful, but
have their moments
I live in a Blue A-Frame house. It is modest, but we call it home.
Jesus loves me, and He loves you too.

I hope that is enough information just to get some silly directions for a child's toy. It sure would be nice to download a ".pdf" file instead. A simple download or email attachment sure would be handy. Not to mention the missed opportunity for great customer service.

Thank you.

As of yet, I have not had a response. I expect the directions in the "snail mail" any day now.

Update:
I FINALLY received the directions. And they are in English. Now I know what ALL of the switches do.

Good-bye Oreo

Just like a country song, I had to bury my dog. He wasn't really a dog, but still a puppy. He wasn't even six months old yet.

We are not sure, but the vet mentioned that he suffered from Parvovirus (AKA Parvo).

He was a friendly little guy. He would jump up and greet anyone who would pet him. If ya let him, he would lick ya till you had enough.

He will be sorely missed by us all.

We will miss you Oreo.

Rest in peace buddy.

See ya in Heaven.
