Is Atheism a Religion???

You Decide

Many people will often say that Atheism is a religion. But an Atheist will strongly disagree. They deny that Atheism is a religion. They tend to point to their lack of a written doctrine and the lack of a supreme being as proof. They say that “Atheism = No Religion.” And, to call it a religion would cause confusion.

But ask yourself “Why is it NOT a religion?” And “Why is it a religion?” Read the following facts and statements. Then you decide for yourself.

Separation of Church and State

Religion in Our Schools

Most of us send our children off every day to school. Why do we send our children to school? Obviously, to learn. We hope that they become responsible. That they will obtain skills needed for life. That they can have an understanding of what goes on in life.

In the Head Start system in the state of New York, the teacher has to abide by state guidelines. A student may walk up to a teacher and says, “Today is my birthday.” The teacher cannot even say a simple, “Happy Birthday.” Why? So that we do not offend someone.

They do it in the name of Political Correctness. A Jehovah’s Witness does not celebrate birthdays. They believe that:

The early Christians did not celebrate birthdays. The custom of celebrating birthdays comes from ancient false religions.

Teaching Diversity

How about this: instead of teaching our kids to hide, let’s teach them diversity. If there be a Jehovah’s witness in the class, then do not celebrate that child’s birthday. But rather teach about that child’s religion and customs.

Give Me A Reason…

This article by the Proud Atheist asks for the answer to a question that most, if not all atheist want to know.

If you have positive indisputable proof of a all knowledgeable, omnipotent God…let me know. Otherwise, your beliefs are based on what you have been told over and over again.

Mark, The Proud Atheist

I could write about the mere existence of a void in all of us. Some people try to fill that void with material possessions. While others will fill it with addictions.

But instead, I will write about the “proof” as if presenting it before a legal court system.magglass

Creation vs. Mythology

Whose Image?

The article by Masoni starts out comparing Mythology to Christianity. Leonardo_da_Vinci.It’s basis of this is that Mythology has gods that are relatable, and Christianity does too, therefore they are the same. He goes further to ask:

Is it possible that… god didn't make us, but we made god?

This is a very valid question. So let’s take a peek.

Baby Born With 12 Fingers, 12 Toes

It is a condition, where someone is born with extra fingers or toes. This is a common condition. However, this time, all extra fingers and toes are perfectly formed.

Typically, the extra fingers or toes are deformed and removed shortly after birth.

Could this be proof of evolution?

Natural Selection (or Survival of the Fittest) is the process that Evolutionist use to explain our origins.

Natural Selection is the process by which favorable heritable traits become more common in successive generations of a population of reproducing organisms, and unfavorable heritable traits become less common…
